Question: How do I tell my co-worker I dont want to go out with her anymore?
The problem is not her, but her boyfriend. She never goes out without him. Last night my co-worker asked me to go for a drink with her after work. Her boyfriend came too. He was EXTREMELY rude to me. He is rude to her too, but I’m a complete stranger!
We were drinking when my friend said “I’m supposed to have started a diet”. But she is actually pretty thin. I told her “I don’t think you need a diet” in which her boyfriend replied “oh she does, have you ever seen her a$ $ ?” I said “Honestly I don’t think you are fat, your body is perfect”. And then he told me “Oh, but your a$ $ is fat too! Have you seen the way you walk, its all ttits in the front and a$ $ in the back!” I SWEAR he said that!!! I was so shocked I didnt know how to respond. This was only one of his rude comments last night. I dont think he is only rude to me, I think its a general characteristic. I know that he cheats on her and doesnt respect her at all. I didnt fall to his level, but I really dont want to see him again. Now she is excited because my boyfriend is coming to visit me and she said we can all go out together a couple of times. She never goes out without him, and I dont want to make up excuses forever because I don’t want her to think she is the one that I dont like. Do I just tell her “I’m sorry but I don’t feel confortable with your boyfriend because he is disrespectful”?

See, I am a very honest, opinionated person and when he said something rude to her, right then and there I would tell him that he is extremely rude and I would apologize to my friend at that point and just leave the bar. Now if you dont want to take that direct of an approach, just let your friend know that you really dont appreciate the way her boyfriend treats her and that you feel she deserves more and tell her you care about her but you cant go out with them anymore because you dont want to say something rude to him!

Question: How to motivate my son to lose weight?
my son is 15 years old is morbidly obese (he is 5’7″ and weighs 366 pounds). he has always been a skinny, active kid growing up. he started dramatically gaining weight when he was around 11 years old. last month i took him to wal-greens to have him take a sports physical and conditioning test so he could enter this years football season. he failed both the physical and the conditioning test and was not given permission to play football. and said he was at a very high risk for type 2 diabetes. i was really hoping he could play football this year so he could do some excersize over the summer. i know its my fault he is over 300 pounds, and i feel even worse that we let it happen when both my husband and i are thin, but instead of dwelling on the past im going to into the future. so i decided he needs to change so i started only cooking healthy meals, i removed all the junk food, in our home, put the parental lock on the TV and bought him a treadmill and told him he has to run on the treadmill one hour everyday and i would weigh him every week to see his progress. when the month started he was 330 pounds and like i said now hes 366 pounds. i was appauled he gained 36 pounds in a month. i asked him if he was cheating on his diet or not doing his excersizes, but he told me he was doing them and doesn’t know why hes gaining weight. a few days ago i decided i would go home for my lunch break and when i got home i saw my son was sleeping and there was 3 XL pizza boxes, 4 big mac boxes and a bag of dorritos around him. i came too late cause he had finished everything. i woke him up and asked what were the food came from, and he confessed that everyday for the past month his father had been buying multiple amounts of fast food everyday. i got in to an argument with my husband on why he was giving him food and he felt bad that i was putting him on a diet so he bought him junk food he even had the nerve to say “i decided to feed him good food not that health crap you give him and what are you mad about its not like im giving him drugs”. i asked my son if he himself wanted to lose weight and he just replied ” i really dont care, im happy with who i am, im getting good grades, i have a girl friend, and my life is going fine, the only reason why i am doing this cause your making me.” iv tried to motivate my son in every way to lose weight but nothing has worked. iv even used his GF as an example to motivate him. she used to be very obese herself, but last time i saw her she looked much thinner and she told me she had been dieting and excersizing and had already lost 50 pounds, i complimented her on how good she looked and was telling my son that she should lose weight with her. i love my son with all my heart and im really worried about him and i just want what is best for him, but i cant make him lose weight he needs to want to also. how can i motivate him.

He has to be motivated to lose weight,but you can try to explain the consequence of being morbidly obese and taking him to talk to a doctor

Question: What motivation do you use to avoid foods that make you fat?
I lost 20 pounds, but have stopped being motivated to stay on my diet. The problem is that I like certain foods that are no nos as far as losing weight.

Question: What type of workout changed your body for the better in the fastest amount of time?
I’ve been doing the stair stepper, elliptical, rowing machine, recumbent bike, and treadmill. Plus I do strength training 3 times a week (1 hour long each session- it is called body pump at my gym). Basically You eaat granoloa bars 24/7 which gives you diorrea (Thats the ‘Colon Cleanse’ part of it) and you drink LOADS of lemon water (the detox part of it)
